All Borobudur experiences begin at the Manohara Borobudur Cultural Center — the central arrivals and parking point for all visitors. Allow 60–90 minutes from central Yogyakarta. Your confirmation email includes a Google Maps link.
Is photography allowed?
Yes — personal photography is welcome at sunrise, both on the temple grounds and from the upper terraces. This is one of the most photogenic moments of the day. Drones are not permitted. Based on the 2026 Borobudur ticket terms.
What is the cancellation policy?
All sales are final. Tickets are non-refundable once we have purchased them on your behalf. The only exception is if we cannot secure your tickets, in which case we refund you in full within 24 hours.
Is sunrise available on Mondays?
Yes — the sunrise experience runs every day including Mondays.
What if it's cloudy?
The experience runs regardless of weather. On overcast mornings the atmosphere is often more dramatic — the mist, the silence, and the ancient stone are extraordinary in any light. Refunds are not available for weather.
Does my name need to match my passport?
Yes — exactly. The name you enter at checkout is printed on your official ticket, and staff check this against your passport at entry. Enter your name precisely as it appears on your passport, including any middle names. If you make a mistake, contact us immediately at bookings@borobudurtickets.net before your visit.
